Fourty-First Week: Focus 52: Free Week

We had a free week this week - we could shoot anything we liked. I had a good Sunday for photos, making me glad that I could include them (I can include Sunday to Saturday, right?). Anyway, lots of nature, bits of awesome child.

This was his favorite of all of the pictures. Not the best technically but made the little man so very happy.

Thanksgiving at the parents house and time to walk through the changes in the garden.

Fortieth Week - Focus 52 - Shadows

So... shadows - or in my case, lack thereof. It was an overcast and grey week all week and inside just wasn't cutting it. So I just have two pictures that I like, rather than to theme. So here they are:

This one I took to try to get the shadows but it didn't work so well. I was also struck by how good the colours look together - it's my parents bathroom so I can't take any credit. The colours are fantastic together I think.

I take a lot of pictures of my son but not of my cat. This week I tried to change that - my hungry cat, yelling at me to feed him (which I don't do - the son does that and was about to do it when I took this).

Thirth-Ninth Week - Focus 52 - Autumn

I love Autumn - Fall. I love the colours, the smells, the usually crisp weather. Sure it's humid as all heck today but it's generally quite crisp without being cold - boot weather without the soggy feet. However, hurricane is a commin' so it's humid headache weather with wind that doesn't allow us to open the window to sleep well.
However, that doesn't impact the colours of fall. I'm pleased with my pictures this week - however, I think it's the subjects rather than the skill I present.

Thirty-Eighth Week - Focus 52 - Flight

This week was a tough one picture wise. A few more phone photos than I would have liked, a few less creative shots.
Just this one.



The bees in my parents garden are going crazy. They fly around, from flower to flower, and generally make me amazed and creep me out all at once.

Thirty-Seventh Week - Focus 52 - Bokeh

Well, I tried. But I didn't do great with Bokeh. I'm still working on it and I have to really look into new lenses. However, here's what I did:











Two of them weren't bokeh at all but pictures I liked due to colour or lighting. Still, I think I need to start investing in lenses.

Thirty-Sixth Week - Focus 52 - September

Ok... September. For me, it means the start of work again. Which means, for the most part, a week when I can't take a lot of good pictures. Hopefully that changes. Especially since I mostly don't take anything because I'm TIRED.
Anyway...
