The theme this week was Masculine. However, the theme of my life this week was busy. Busy, busy, busy. Last week of school! Hired to be VP of summer school! Child finished grade one! Busy, busy, busy!!
So... what did I do that I liked or was masculine? Well, not as much as I would have liked.
We were out riding bikes and skateboarding today and I saw these. Hardy, pretty little flowers. I just admired them. Spunky.
I like this picture of me. Nice without being unreal (I think! - it does hide the double chin!). I picked this, even though it's a very feminine face, simply because it's celebrating the fact that I was picked for summer school vp. This is the first year that a female has been in the administration role - and this year there's two females. I'm excited.
What is more masculine than my boy? This boy will be a great man.
I rode in a tank today. This was the view. Not masculine but I really liked it. Actually, it looks kinda feminine, but given it's the view from a tank, I think I appreciate it more.

Twenty-Fourth Week: Morning: Focus 52
This week the theme was morning. I tried to think of what represented morning for me - and then forgot to take pictures of half of it. These are the pictures I did manage to take.
I'm trying not to eat as much bread. It's going very badly. VERY BADLY. However, this is now my regular breakfast. Yogourt and Special k. It's yummy. Still having trouble giving up bread though.
I get up early every morning. Way before it's sunny, no matter what time of year it is. I need to work out because I need to be healthy and that's the only time that seems to work for me. There's something great about being the only one up and being able to say that at 4:10 I'm up and working out for an hour.
This is my favourite of the pictures for this week. It's my sons feet sticking out of my bed blankets. In the mornings I work out and then, when done, take him out to our bed for cuddle time. He loves it. I then give my husband and my son footrubs. They are spoiled. But I love them.

Twenty-Third Week: Down low: Focus 52
Ok... week twenty three. Down low. I kept thinking it was 'look down' so I'm kind of between the two themes. Or at least most of my pictures are the looking down of being down low....
I do like how this one came out. This was from a walk around downtown that the son and I took this morning. We were walking past 'Kitchen Queen' and he asked what this was. I explained that there were some stores that had things placed in the side walk and this was one of them. So we both took some pictures of it.
My memories childhood were coming home and finding things changed around. My adult memories are going to my parents house and finding things moved around. Mom loves to play around with the placement of the everything. I love how their living room looks like a model from the loft. This is the view of their redecorating, looking down from above.
The view of a grocery store is so different from the top than the bottom. When you're there, it's shelves of products and boxes. But from the top you can see the down low of it all - people shopping and choosing, children freaking out, people working the deli, roasting chicken and spooning salad. The storage boxes on the top of the shelves shows how much is kept in one space. I love this view.
Of course, looking down, down low, there are flowers beginning to bloom. Some are wonderful.
This was a planning holdover from last week - I took it last Sunday after I already had submitted my pictures. The blue stood out to me, which of course was the theme for last week. We were in Winners and I looked down and there were these tables - great colours, great patterms. This is the view after I moved them around and made them how I wanted them.

Twenty-Second Week: Focus 52: Blue
Yay! A theme that is simple but yet can be so complex. Blue.
I took a few pictures that went with the theme. These are what turned out enough that I liked them (can you tell I'm getting anxious to get my royalty cheques from a project I'm working on so I can upgrade from my Elph to a SLR?)
First, I decided to play with colour accent on my camera:
Nail polish display, only blue highlighted.
I had to go to a graduation this week and this was the view from the building. Very blue. I took pictures of this building a while ago as well - here and here and here. Fantastic building for colours and pictures.
This week was not a pretty week weather wise. I spent a lot of time freezing - it was so cold. Today was the first good day. This picture was taken when I was longing for a blue sky.
The guy I love. In his blue half cabs. Doing something he loves.
I have to say, I'm looking forward to summer when I'll have a little more time to play with taking pictures and themes. Yay teaching summers.
