Fifty-First Week - Focus 52 - Sweet

Holy crap! It's week 51. More than that, it's December 24th. The theme this week was sweet, which was quite apt considering that this week began the overeating that is the holiday season for me. Here goes:

Fiftieth Week - Focus 52 - Sparkle and Shine

Holy Crap it's week 50! And more than that, I took some on theme!!

Sparkle and shine was the theme. And here goes:

My work Holiday tree! It didn't take that long and it's beautiful!! I'm so very proud! Being a book nerd can be fun!

It sparkles. Someone asked me what kind of leaf it was and I said a jewelry leaf. I love how it shines and sparkles.

The lights shine like fireworks.

Fourty-Eighth Week - Focus 52 - Free Week!

So, this was a free week Free for everything but my time. I did take a couple pictures that I've shared:

The son bought this at the book fair. It makes me happy.

Fourty-Seventh Week - Focus 52 - Thankful

This week I was thankful for so very much - my son, my ability to shovel, the fact that fur packed action reunited and put on a great show. I was thankful for my son reading all the time, his sense of humour, colourful ukeleles and beauty in the increasing cold. Here are my pictures:

Fourty-Sixth Week - Focus 52 - The Elements

I didn't really take a lot of theme pictures. The theme was 'The Elements'. However, the rain and I don't get along when I want to bring my camera out and given that this week the 'Phantom' casting started, well, this week was crazy busy. We had snow today, but I had a nap and it was gone when I got up. I mostly don't regret it. So, these are my pictures for this week:

Fourty-Fifth Week- Focus 52 - Remember This

The theme this week was 'Remember This'. This time is always a bittersweet time for me - my birthday was this week (next topic should be 'when the heck did I get to be 35 and why am I not more grown up at this point?'). However, a couple days before that, 15 years ago, my grandfather died. My grandfather was a veteran and a great man so his loss, especially around Remembrance day is always remembered.

My pictures this week are a mix of fall pictures and picture of the war memorial. I think they were all taken 11-11-11.

Fourty-Fourth Week - Focus 52 - Boo!

This week the theme was 'Boo!'. I have some pictures on that theme and Hallowe'en in general and others that just follow my own theme. Here goes:

Fourty-Third Week - Focus 52 - Evening

Well, this week at work was crazy. We had our big fundraiser and I spent several evenings at school. This week for 365 was phonetastic. However, I did take a few decent shots, one or two were on theme (Evening - time of day).

Next week is Boo - I'm hoping that my multi-costume Hallowe'en and the son having a fantastic outfit for the day makes me pretty sure that there will be some good shots.

Fourty-Second Week - Focus 52 - Harvest.

So.... Week 42. Can't believe there's only 10 weeks left in the year!!!!
I will admit, I didn't follow the prompt this week. There are days I'm lucky to take a picture at all. However, I like these:

Fourty-First Week: Focus 52: Free Week

We had a free week this week - we could shoot anything we liked. I had a good Sunday for photos, making me glad that I could include them (I can include Sunday to Saturday, right?). Anyway, lots of nature, bits of awesome child.

This was his favorite of all of the pictures. Not the best technically but made the little man so very happy.

Thanksgiving at the parents house and time to walk through the changes in the garden.

Our Hallowe'en pumpkins. Goodness knows what they'll become.

Fortieth Week - Focus 52 - Shadows

So... shadows - or in my case, lack thereof. It was an overcast and grey week all week and inside just wasn't cutting it. So I just have two pictures that I like, rather than to theme. So here they are:

This one I took to try to get the shadows but it didn't work so well. I was also struck by how good the colours look together - it's my parents bathroom so I can't take any credit. The colours are fantastic together I think.

I take a lot of pictures of my son but not of my cat. This week I tried to change that - my hungry cat, yelling at me to feed him (which I don't do - the son does that and was about to do it when I took this).

Thirth-Ninth Week - Focus 52 - Autumn

I love Autumn - Fall. I love the colours, the smells, the usually crisp weather. Sure it's humid as all heck today but it's generally quite crisp without being cold - boot weather without the soggy feet. However, hurricane is a commin' so it's humid headache weather with wind that doesn't allow us to open the window to sleep well.
However, that doesn't impact the colours of fall. I'm pleased with my pictures this week - however, I think it's the subjects rather than the skill I present.

Thirty-Eighth Week - Focus 52 - Flight

This week was a tough one picture wise. A few more phone photos than I would have liked, a few less creative shots.
Just this one.



The bees in my parents garden are going crazy. They fly around, from flower to flower, and generally make me amazed and creep me out all at once.
